Hi. I’m Adriel Booker, an Oregonian who landed in Australia after a few trips around the world.
I’ve worked in communications, local government, childcare, and hospitality… but by far my favorite job has been the one I’ve been in for the last twelve years – a volunteer with Youth With A Mission*, where I serve as a teacher, mentor, and leadership coach.
I’m married to a hunky Aussie bloke (who is–by far–my bestie) and we have two littles – a baby named Judah and a two-year-old named Levi. They are hilarious and loud and adorable and spunky, creative and clever and strong and full of energy. (All three of them.)
Together, we have a happy little tribe.
We’re figuring out what a family in ministry looks like. It’s messy, and hard, and amazing, and very, very precious.
I write. I teach. I decorate. I create. I play with things like cameras and guitars and mega blocks. And I dream of sleeping in.
I’ve come a long way and I have a long way to go.
This wee little blog is very much a snap-shot of the world as I see it, unedited. What you read is what you get.
I hope you’ll find something here to connect with.
Please note: This probably goes without saying, but everything I write about on this blog reflects my personal experiences, opinions, and beliefs. I do not write here on behalf of YWAM, our churches, or anyone else.
